On Friday, Matrix Games announced the release of Crown of Glory: Emperor’s Edition, in cooperation with Western Civilization Software. This game is a sequel to the critically-acclaimed Crown of Glory wargame. Crown of Glory: Emperor’s Edition, a Napoleon era wargame, is described as “a major step up from the original” with new detailed naval combat, a streamlined economic system, a stronger AI, a new strategic map, new scenarios, and interface improvements. Matrix has posted three of the game’s tutorial videos on their site, to give gamers a better idea of the depth of gameplay. The initial release of the game is download-only, with options for boxed copies with printed manual to be available next week. Customers who own the original Crown of Glory game are entitled to a $10 off discount coupon toward the purchase of the Emperor’s Edition.
