- Paradigm Concepts has put Witch Hunter: The Invisible World – Aztec Empire for sale on their online store.
- Pinnacle Entertainment Group (PEG) has posted images of new Deadlands miniatures, information about changes in Savage Worlds Deluxe around damage and healing, a sneak peek at Agents of Oblivion, and more.
- The Federation Commander web site has launched a YouTube channel in which they’ll talk about specific product lines, new product releases, and the actual contents of product boxes.
- Radioactive Press has released their first pregenerated monster for Giant Monster Rampage 3rd Edition. Monarch is available at RPGNow and Wargame Vault.
- Random Encounters has released its micro-game Deniable Asset: Hiding in the Mosque for free download through their E-Store. It’s a prelude to their upcoming Deniable Asset espionage game.
- Palladium Books announced that Rifts: Vampire Kingdoms is now shipping.
- Skirmisher Publishing has posted a thought-provoking entry on Gen Con 2011, in which they discuss how smaller publishers were treated this year, and how the company’s sales at Gen Con were 1/8 what they’ve been in past years. It’s interesting reading.
- Super Genius Games has released Codex Draconis: Red Tyrants of the Mountains. This module is Pathfinder and OGL compatible, 25 pages long, and priced at $3.99.
- Triple Ace Games released All For One: Paris Gothic in eBook form.
- Avalon Games announced the release of Horror Show, a new RPG by Bedrock Games. It’s based on terror movies and is described as perfect for one-shot adventures and full-length campaigns.
- Evil Hat Productions posted pictures from the ENnie awards during Gen Con.
- Green Ronin Publishing won three ENnies. They’ve also released Mutants & Masterminds Threat Reports #32 and #33.
- Margaret Weis Productions has announced Marvel Heroes, a family of RPG products based on the Marvel Comics universe.
- Paizo has announced the release of a new Pathfinder novel, Master of Devils by Dave Gross.
- Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG) has released printable PDF maps for Ninja: Legend of the Scorpion Clan, announced the upcoming release of Nightfall: Blood Country and Thunderstone: Heart of Doom in October.
- Night Of Mystery is offering a chance to win a free Murder Under the Big Top party to the the author of the best comment about why they’d like to throw the party. See their site for full details.

PC and Online Game News – August 21, 2011
- 2K Games and Gearbox Software have announced the development of Borderlands 2.
- Broderbund has its Hoyle Card Games 2012, Casino Games 2012, and Puzzle and Board Games 2012 on sale. Each title is priced at $17.99.
- There is a new Sylvari video posted for Guild Wars 2.
- Matrix Games has announced the release of Field of Glory – Eternal Empire for the PC. It’s described as a faithful reproduction of Slitherine’s popular tabletop wargaming system of the same name.
- Paradox Interactive posted some details on its upcoming free-to-play Salem MMORPG. Salem sounds like it has an interesting economic mechanism and a "permanent death" feature.
- Sega has announced a pre-order incentive for their Xbox 360 game Rise of Nightmares. Players who pre-order the game will receive an exclusive Mini-Zombie that will interact with the player’s Avatar on the Xbox 360 dashboard.
- Shrapnel Games has announced plans to release Bronze as a "cardboard game".
- Square Enix has released Drawin’ Growin’ for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It’s a casual game that involves a quest to return an island kingdom’s neglected flora back to its former glory.
- Take 2 Games announced NBA 2K12.
- Tecmo Koei has posted news for Ninja Gaiden 3, Dynasty Warriors 7, and Champion Jockey on their web site.
Army of Frogs App for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad
Gen 42 announced the availability of Army of Frogs for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Army of Frogs began life as a board game in which players fight for territory and the best possible location.

Academy Games has created a track sheet utility for the Conflict of Heroes board game series. This iPad app is free and contains no advertisements.
TerrorBull Games News–June 2011
The TerrorBull Games web site posted a news update recently in which they announce three major bits of news:
- GaGA – This gamers’ collective is intended to allow those who are using games to further educational, political, or activist ends.
- A new print and play game based on the revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt is “almost finished”.
- An iOS “app” version of their popular War on Terror boardgame is in the works. They are accepting applications for beta testers.
They are also working on “two full-release games, a load of ‘how to’ videos and some silly side-projects”.
Conan for iOS, Expendables 2, Torchwood Miracle Day
The “On the Horizon” section at the bottom of the home page for Paradox Entertainment contains links to three interesting titles in development.
Conan Tower of the Elephant is an iPhone game in production.
The Expendables 2 is currently in development, and the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film The Expendables.
Torchwood: Miracle Day is a new storyline based on the BBC’s popular sci-fi series Torchwood. In Miracle Day, people around the world stop dying. The next day, and the next, etc., people keep aging. They get hurt and get sick, but never die. The result is an overnight population boom that stretches the Earth’s resources to the limit. This new series will premiere on STARZ in the United States on July 8 at 10pm ET/PT.
Catan for Android Coming Soon
The Official Settlers of Catan web site announced on June 9, 2011, that an Android version of Catan will be made available this month. The iPhone/iPad versions are already bestsellers in the iTunes marketplace. It seems likely that the Android version will sell well also.
Bent Castle iPad Numbers League App Coming
Bent Castle Workshops is launching its first app for the Apple iPad, Numbers League. This is a software version of their card game of the same name.
In Numbers League, players use their basic math skills to save the city from evil villains by combining the powers of superheroes to capture them.
EA Discounts iPad Madden NFL 11

EA Games has announced a price drop for the Apple iPad version of Madden NFL 11, to $6.99. It’s available via the App Store.
HISTORY Great Battles Medieval for Android
Slitherine, Matrix Games, and War Drum Studios have announced the release of HISTORY™ Great Battles Medieval for the Android operating system (all Tegra2 compatible devices). This is the game that PocketGamer.co.uk referred to as “an impressively fully-functioned RTS”. NVidia has even used the game to showcase what their chipset can do.
The game is available through the Android market and is priced at $6.99 as of this writing.

- Capcom released a preview of the Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D game at Captivate 2011
- The Guild Wars 2 site has updated its charr web page with new wallpapers, expanded lore, and a video about the domain of the charr.
- Matrix Games has posted new screenshots and information for Panzer Command: Ostront and announced that History Egypt Engineering and Empire are "smash hits" on the iPad.
- Paradox Interactive has launched a video developer diary for the upcoming Sengoku character-driven strategy game.
- SEGA announced that Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games title will be released for the Nintendo 3DS.
- Square Enix announced the release of Final Fantasy III on the iPad, a patch for the WAKFU closed beta, new volumes in the Manga Store, an expected release date for Moon River on XBox Live Arcade, and the availability of Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection for the PSP.

Board Game News Bites–April 14, 2011
Following on the heels of yesterday’s post of a series of small news bites about board games, here are more for today:
- Fundex Games is featuring "Gassy Gus" this month, a game where you feed Gus all sorts of gaseous foods from broccoli to baked beans. The goal is to feed Gus all your food without him breaking wind.
- Games for the World has reduced the price of its World Cup 2010 card game to GBP 1.95 plus packaging and postage.
- Garphill Games is featuring Capek, a 2-4 player card game released in February in which players work for a robotics company and are competing to complete their robot first and win.
- Gen42 has released Army of Frogs for the iPad, iPod, and iPhone.
- Gut Bustin’ Games, creators of Redneck Life and Trailer Park Wars, is taking pre-orders for a new board game entitled "Oh Gnome You Don’t".
- Hot Stove Games is moving all their products over to Lulu.com for sale and shipping.
- KenMGames posted a free downloadable game "Behind the 8 Ball" which combines math and pool.
- Knight Works appears to have put Shadow Wars 2nd Edition on hold for a bit and is working on a Wild West themed game about area control and resources.
- Looney Labs is shipping Pirate Fluxx now.
- Mayfair Games’ "The Catan Dice Game" is shipping to retailers and distributors. It’s expected to hit store shelves on April 21.
- Merlin’s Games and Books is taking orders for a couple of new CDs and two games "Mister Rice and Lady Sushi" and "The Rice Queen Game".
- Minion Games has released four new print and play games for 2011: Grave Business, Dice – Street Racing, Five Fingered Severance, and Nile.
- Nethercottage Games released Blocks & Bombs for the iOS and Android.
- The Numbskull Games web site is featuring its newest release, Blockade Runner, a Euro style resource trading game.
- Out of the Box announced "Shake ‘n Take", a game about capturing aliens that are on the loose.
- Pair-of-Dice Games has released R.U.M.B.L. (which is short for RoboUltimateMechaBattleLeague), a game in which players battle robots in an arena and try to defeat the other players.
- Replay Sports Games is accepting pre-orders for the 1975-76 ABA season, has new 2010 baseball products available, a 1993 yearbook for baseball, and more.
- Rio Grande Games has released Famiglia, Glen More, Power Grid: Russia and Japan, and Zooloretto: The Boss.
- Sands of Time Games announced that their Catacombs board game has sold out of its first print run. The second run will ship alongside two expansions: Catacombs: Cavern of Soloth and Catacombs: Dark Passageways.
- Simply Fun Games has added several family titles to their line, including Share a Berry, Telling Time With Tibbar, Tibbar’s Tangrams, Clover Leaf, and Bringing Down the House.
- Smart Zone Games has added Trickey Monkey and Cobra Twist to their line.
- Sophisticated Games has released The Hobbit board game by Reiner Knizia. In it, players are competing to win as much treasure as they can, while Smaug the Dragon closes in on LakeTown.
- Spiral Galaxy Games is taking pre-orders for the second edition of Alien Frontiers.
- TableStar Games has its Scoops (ice cream) card game available in print form and on iOS devices.
- Tasty Minstrel Games has been giving away a free game each Friday.
- Wattsalpoag Games announced that their first expansion set for Jet Set, entitled Distant Lands, will be released this spring.
- White Wolf currently lists two upcoming titles: Night Horrors – Unbidden and Glories of the Most High
- Winning Moves Games has released The Game of Life: It’s a Dog’s Life, a canine take on the classic game of Life.
- Zombie Buddy Productions has released a line of "post-apocalyptic wear" that appears to consist of brightly colored fishnet clothing. Not my thing, but if it’s yours, go for it…

Matrix Games Releases Egypt for iPad
The great folks at Matrix Games have released an iPad game entitled HISTORY Egypt: Engineering an Empire. The game allows players to build an empire from its foundations to the height of its power. Players manage all aspects of leadership for an Egyptian territory as it rises through economic growth to political power and expansion into other regions.
It’s available in Apple’s App Store and (as of this writing) is priced at a modest $4.99.
