Paradox Interactive and Kerberos Studios released a gameplay trailer for Sword of the Stars II: The Lords of Winter at E3 2011 on June 9, 2011.

The Lords of Winter is a sequel to Kerberos’ hit 4X science fiction strategy game Sword of the Stars.  It is planned for release in autumn 2011.

Players will lead one of six playable factions, including a mysterious new race with an influence felt throughout SotS 1.  Highly detailed star systems are simulated, featuring planetary orbits, moons, asteroid belts, and different space terrain.  Design and build your own ships, research advanced technology, and engage in fierce multiplayer battles with up to 8 players.
