Wargame news for today:

• Avalanche Press reports that their book sale and reduced shipping offer ends today.
• Bounding Fire Productions has added a new High Ground 2 Battlepack that includes “the best of the original High Ground release from Heat of Battle.”
• Capitan Games reports that the translation of their naval rules for Master & Commander is on the way. They have also finished a new supplement for the game called “Galley Captain”.
• Consimpress has announced the v1.02 update of the BEDA FOMM module for the ZunTzu Online Boardgaming Platform for Windows.
• Critical Hit, Inc. has released the Aussie 98 Pack 2nd Edition, a new scenario series featuring a wide variety of scenarios on geomorphic boards.
• Dan Verssen Games has had a wave of pre-orders for Hornet Leader, and posted a link to a review of Phantom Leader.
• Decision Games shipped Strategy & Tactics Issue #264 on August 10.
• GMT Games uploaded the Italian translation for Washington’s War rules, updated the rules and charts for the Musket and Pike series, added information about PacificCON 2010, and added a VASSAL module for Twilight Struggle Deluxe Edition.
• Histogame announced that Maria can be played online with a VASSAL module now.
• HMS/GRD announced that Total War is getting much closer to release. They’ve actually signed off and paid for the counters and boxes.
• HPS Simulations has released Naval Campaigns: Guadalcanal v1.05, Alexandrian Wars v1.02, Gallic Wars v1.05, Greek Wars v1.01, Punic Wars v1.07, and First World War: France ’14 v1.01 since my last update on them.
• Pacific Rim Publishing has extended its special sale until August 31, 2010.
• Lock ‘n Load Publishing announced that World at War: Paris is Burning is on pre-order now. This game ships with two 11×17″ geomorphic maps, 176 counters, player’s aids, and module rules. It’s an expansion to World at War: Blood and Bridges.
• Micromark has released a number of new Army Lists for August.
• Multiman Publishing has released Operations Special Issue #3, ASL Blood Reef Tarawa Gamers Guide, and ASL Out of the Attic #2′.
• Turning Point Simulations announced a collection of all 20 of Mitchell and Creasy’s Twenty Decisive Battles of the World.
• Wargame Vault has added a number of new releases to its catalog, including Radioactive Press’ Mega Bots Subframes: Anibots, Inked Adventures: Modular Dungeon Cut-up Sections Basic Pack, Battle Axe – Undead Vampire, and more.
• Whitedog Games posted information about Manny Aguilar’s Indian Summer, the story of the Civil War in the west. This work-in-progress will be a large game, featuring 600 counters and a 22×35″ map.
