Today’s board game news:

  • 4th Street Software added a preference to its computer football game to allow a player to choose to call only offense, only defense, or both for either or both teams during human vs. human game play. They also fixed a glitch that prevented play between humand computer coached teams. Their hockey cards are available in perforated or cut-line format.
  • The creator of Amazing Bingo apparently decided a photo of his cute, teenage (?) daughter would enhance sales of the game. Her photo, holding the game, has been added to the site’s home page.
  • Bruce Gustin’s Millennium Chess Game site is offering a back to school deal with savings up to 40% off the game.
  • Cactus Game Design, suppliers of various Christian-themed games, is offering free shipping on orders over $35 in the USA. They also have a number of other game discounts as well.
  • Cheese Weasel Logistics is having a sale on Card Coffins for $6 this week, and their Pit Fighter: Fantasy Arena game is also on sale for $19.95 with expansions priced at $4.95.
  • The Chessapeak game site is offering a 2-for-1 deal on Porta-Challenge and Porta-Checkers.
  • Clever Mojo Games is looking for play testers in the Seattle/Edmonds WA area.
  • Days of Wonder announced that Fictionaire, a game that mixes creative storytelling, trivia knowledge, and bluffing skills, is now available in the USA.
  • Drumond Park Games has added itself to Facebook and produced an online version of its Pumpaloons game.
  • Evertide Games is looking for writers to help on its Empires of Orion project.
  • Gamewright has added “Sumo Ham Slam” to its product line. This game is apparently about “full-contact Sumo hamster wrestling”.
  • Gen1400 Gaming has released Dice Football and has a special running through August.
  • Hunting Fever Games has a “pre-hunting season special” going on where they will pay your shipping charges on your order.
  • Numbskull Games will be releasing Popular Front, a Spanish Civil War game, in September.
  • Replay Sports Games has released a new Baseball Play Board and a Baseball E-Chart Book. The Baseball Play board is on special for $10 until the end of August.
  • Strat-O-Matic is offering a free trial subscription to “Outsider Baseball Bulletin“.
  • Twilight Creations says that a Zombies!!! video game is coming.
  • Wattsalpoag Games previewed their “Last Call – The Bartender Game” at Gen Con Indy 2010.
