Offworld Designs has posted several new T-shirt designs, including: AvaKitty, Bat-Thulu, Deady Bear, Empire Builder, Serenity Flag, Vampires Suck, and several others.

I bought the ones below from them at Origins.

Miniatures Games News – 07/15/2010

Today’s news:

  • The Arcane Legions web site says it is bringing back the Arcane Legions League. Everyone who plays in a league event gets a free, special-edition Arcane Legions faction die each week. Additional dice will be awarded to the winners. Each month will feature three new scenarios. See the web site for more information.
  • Catalyst’s Classic Battletech web site says that three new PDFs have been released. Jihad Hot Spots: Terra, XTRO Technical Readout, and Historical Turning Points: Misery.
  • Emperor’s Choice Games and Miniatures Corp. says that they’ve corrected the links for the 10-part download of the Arduin Eternal Culture and Index book which was released on the 13th.
  • The Flames of War web site lists some new miniatures due out on July 17 and other news.
  • Games Workshop’s web site posted an article on what the new Warhammer rules mean for Ogres.
  • Majestic Twelve Games announced the first release of their newest game system, Grand Admiral: Flashpoint Orange. This is a fleet combat game in the Age of the Battleship. This large-scale board game simulates naval combat, and emphasizes simple game mechanics and fast gameplay without sacrificing historical accuracy. It can also be adapted to tabletop miniature play if desired.

RPG News – 07/15/2010

Today’s news:

  • RPGObjects announced “Abandon All Hope“, a new RPG from the creator of Darwin’s World (Dominic Covey). There is no ETA yet on the release date, but GenCon attendees will have the opportunity to playtest the game on August 5 and 7.
  • According to Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG), there will be an Exclusive L5R Honor Event at GenCon 2010 on August 7. According to the announcement “AEG will offer the Clans and their representatives at GenCon the chance to match their skills through a Live Performance Contest.”
  • Amarillo Design Bureau’s web site posted an article today saying that “some people don’t realize that you can download what amounts to a free copy of the Federation Commander game (well, enough of the game to play a few battles).” It also says “But that’s just a start. If you join the Commander’s Circle, which is free, you can download the monthly Communique which includes scenarios, tactics, and new ships. You can also access a database of Federation Commander players looking for new opponents.”
  • Goodman Games has posted an official errata document for Amethyst.
  • Mongoose Publishing announced Races of Glorantha Volume One and Nations of Barsaive 2: Serpent River this week.
  • Morrigan Press’ Talislanta web page announced that new materials have been added to the “Magic, Spells, and Grimoires” page and the “Fan Materials” page.
  • Paradigm Concepts announced that a Shattered Empires Action Dial is now available. A limited edition Shattered Empires T-shirt is also available.
  • Skirmisher Publishing has added an online game store.
  • Triple Ace Games announced that they’ve received a 2010 Ennie Award nomination for the Best Monster or Adversary book category, for their Hellfrost Bestiary.

Today’s News:

  • Ninja Magic is taking orders for several new releases including the long-awaited fighter drones. There are also accessories such as Multi-use Flight Stands and a line of Counters and Markers.
  • Alternative Armies announced the release of “VLE09 Foul Mouth Freddy” a very limited edition miniature pack.
  • Baccus 6mm has been working on Polemos English Civil War rules and a resculpted Ancient Celts range. Baccus Open Day will be Saturday July 17, 2010.
  • Privateer Press relased information and an image for an upcoming miniature, Captain Gunnbjorn, a member of the Cygnaran military.
  • Games Workshop posted images and information about some advance order items, including the Daemon Prince, Changeling, and more.
  • Mongoose Publishing posted information about “a very special book hitting the shelves of your local gaming store this week – Sex, Dice and Gamer Chicks“. It reportedly “casts an introspective and irreverent eye onto gamers themselves”.
  • Rackham Studio has posted Aarklash rules in Spanish and Italian.

  • Family Games Inc. announced that “Conniption” is coming soon. The game looks to be a variant of Connect Four, with the added twist of flipping the board around periodically and rearranging the playing pieces within it.
  • Blue Panther is having its 2010 Game Design Contest. See their site for details.
  • Eagle Games’ web site says that Railways of the World, Defenders of the Realm, and SWAT! are available now.
  • Fantasy Flight Games has posted information about “Mountains of the Moon”, a chapter pack for A Game of Thrones. They have also posted an FAQ for Horus Heresy. Anima: Beyond Fantasy supplement Gaia is also available.

  • Wargame Vault has added two paper terrain products today, Lord ZseZse Works’ Ground Set #1 and Dave Graffam Models’ Ground Titles Bundle. They have also added Zupan Development’s Variables of War: Night Fight rulebook for Battlefield Evolution: Modern Combat.
  • Victory Point Games has decided that it’s going to “grow for it” and expand the business.
  • GMT Games has published a number of VASSAL updates, including 1805:Sea of Glory – Module, Brandywine – Module, Flying Colors – Module, Guilford – Module, Savannah – Module, Serpents of the Seas – Module, and The Halls of Montezuma – Module.

  • Green Ronin has extended the same pre-order discounts on PDF versions of its products that it provides to those who purchase the print products directly. This policy will start with the DC Adventures Hero’s Handbook.
  • Studio 2 Publishing announced that new items are coming from Crafty Games, Sanguine Productions, and Third Eye Games. Fantasy Craft, Ironclaw: Squaring the Circle, and Wu Xing: The Ninja Crusade, are all discussed.
  • RPGNow has added a number of new products, including Mongoose’s “Terror of the Darklords”, Fat Dragon Games’ EZ-Dungeon Expansion 3, White Wolf’s Prince of the City, and several more.
  • Radioactive Press has posted an update about its recent activities, including playtesting some Toy Battle System games.
  • Precis Intermedia Games has released Token Packs for Smiteworks’ Fantasy Grounds II software.
  • Palladium Books is running its “Christmas in July” promotion until July 25.
  • Chaosium will be releasing a Basic Role Playing (BRP) book “in the fall of 2010″ called The Chronicles of Future Earth.
  • Amarillo Design Bureau is looking for scenarios for the Star Fleet Battles game.
  • 0One Games expects to release the black and white RPG supplement Heavenring Village: The Jail tomorrow.

  • Eagle Games is providing four corrected cards for Through The Ages to those players who need them.
  • Knight Works says that they’ve worked on the mechanics for a second edition of Shadow Wars and have begun playtesting the changes.
  • Steve Jackson Games says they are working on two apps. The Munchkin Level Counter is coming to Android. A Zombie Dice implementation is being prepared for the iPhone platform (iOS).

  • Q-Workshop updated its home page today to indicate that the Dwarven Dice Sets are available again (or perhaps for the first time?). According to the post, “At last the dwarven artifacts lost by Quentin the Inventive have been found. You can get them through our on-line shop.”

  • 15mm.co.uk has added “The Octopods” 15mm Sci-fi miniatures to their product line. They also note that Alien Squad Leader 2.0 is back in stock.
  • Wargame Vault has added Dave Graffam Models’ High Ground Tiles 30mm paper models product to their site.
  • Games Workshop has posted a Warhammer Lauch Sneak Peek on their web site.
  • Mantic Games posted a video explaining how their miniatures shipping boxes double as a way to hold the miniatures when completed, making them easy to store and carry around.
  • Catalyst Game Labs has received 9 ENnie Award nominations this year, for Best Art, Best Game, Best Production Values, Best Regalia, Best Writing, and more. Congratulations, Catalyst, and good work!
  • Crooked Dice Game Design Studio says their Release 2 miniatures might be shipping early.
  • Wargames Factory says their Shock Troops miniatures are now shipping, as are the next two Saxons sets for Hammer of the Gods.

  • RPGShop has added “7 set Otherworld Crystal (Red)” (crystal shaped dice), 16mm Assorted D20 dice, and 25mm Foam d6 dice to their catalog.
  • Troll and Toad has received a number of new RPG products, including The Vault of Larin Karr softcover module for d20 D&D 3.0 RPG, Raise the Dead for Sword and Sorcery, Chaos Rising for Sword and Sorcery, Fantasy Flight Games’ Wings of War: Flight of the Giants, and more.
  • Greenfield Games posted information about the release of Magic The Gathering 2011 Core Set and their Summer Big Game Auction.

  • Cactus Game Design is publishing a new product for 2010, “Bible Taboo”. This is a Christian version of the Hasbro title.
  • Fantasy Flight Games is offering players a chance to try a new Warhammer adventure “Journey to Black Fire Pass” at a number of participating stores (link may not work properly if you use Firefox). They’ve also published “The Lurker at the Threshold” expansion for Arkham Horror.
  • Mark Steere Games has published a new board game, Fractal. This two-player print-and-play game, which can’t end in a draw, requires players to form a path of cells of their own color connecting the two border regions of their color.

Card Games news:

  • Interaction Point Games has added a Wild West fighting card game “Knock Down, Drag Out” to its online store. They’re offering free shipping in the US, probably through July 11, though the web site says June 11…
