The following article was imported from our old content management system on 08/10/2008. It may contain missing links and missing images which we do not plan to go back and correct. We apologize for any inconvenience.

From the Three Sages Games web site comes the following news:

August 06, 2007 Update – We just finished the writing on The Art of Wor™ packs 3 and 4 (elven and human men) so with our little window of breathing space I’ve turned some attention back to the web site. We added a Rules of Wor™ support section and character sheets are available for free download. Art sets 1 and 2 (Elven and Human Women) have been released and are available for stores now. The Rules of Wor™ d20 game book is supposed to be done at the printers and more adventure art packs are on the way plus a pair of modules. At GenCon we didn’t have enough staff to run events but hopefully we’ll team up with some local gaming clubs for the shows next year.

The new web site still isn’t working right. Not sure when it will be active. I’ll see about updating info on the current one in the meantime while we wait.

Our remaining convention schedule is August at GenCon Indy, and Sept at ConQuest San Fransisco and the LA show onthe same weekend. We added two Strategicon shows in SoCal to replace the closed GenCon SoCal.

Rules of Wor ™ is a d20 supplement designed to plug into your current gaming with revised combat based around the strike rank systems of Realms of Wor ™ and Erodani Adventures ™. It should be in print by the end of luly. We also have the Adventure Art Packs coming out in the same time frame starting with Elvish Women and Human Women. Modules and more art packs are in the works

Erodani Adventures is undergoing final draft edits but has been pushed back for rules adjustments and art reasons.

Gnome Crystals was sneak-peak shown at Kubla and debues in July at Origins. The official release to stores should be August or September. It’s a 2-4 player game that’s part luck, part strategy, and part zapping your foes before they zap you. It’s zany gnomish fun.

Remember that the downloads is unlocked now with free support files for Realms of Wor ™ games as well athe Valor and Retribution NechWarrior 4 league. Elvish Checkers and Dwarfstone rules are there as well. Much of this material is easy to modify for use with other systems.

Gen Con Indy 2007 – Day 1 – Thursday

The following article was imported from our old content management system on 08/10/2008. It may contain missing links and missing images which we do not plan to go back and correct. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Matt and I left from Columbus later than we intended. We ran into construction after checking into our hotel and found ourselves lost somewhere north of Indianapolis. Not a very auspicious start.

We got to the convention center in time to pick up our press credentials and spend about 15 minutes in the Exhibit Hall before it closed. There are certainly more video game exhibitors this year than in the past. I remember seeing the Pirates of the Burning Seas folks, NCSoft (City of Heroes/Villains), Blizzard (demoing the upcoming WoW expansion), and several others. Old favorites like Twilight Creations, Red Shirt Games, and others were there too, of course.

We took some time to look around the boardgame area, the miniatures gaming area, the auction area, and various other places. The boardgame area was just about filled to overflowing. Other areas were busy, but not as busy as the boardgame area seemed to be.

Our press package included several nifty swag items, including an Axis & Allies miniatures booster set, a World of Warcraft CCG Dark Portal starter set, some buttons advertising Dark Skull Studios’ products, an issue of inQuest Gamer magazine, and The Ultimate Guide to Collectible Games.

On our way back to the car, we walked in through the lobby of the Westin Hotel on Capitol. I opened the door for some gamers who were on their way out of the hotel. The third person of the group to walk out the door turned out to be none other than Richard Hatch, star of Battlestar Galactica and the creator of The Great War of Magellan RPG.

Sadly, that’s about all I can tell you for the moment…

Interwoven and meticulously updated, Total Warfare provides the most detailed and comprehensive rules set published to date for BattleTech—the perfect companion for standard game play whether in a canon in-store event, at a major convention, or just for a argument-free evening of gaming fun.

*You’ll note that we didn’t call these release dates, so just what is a Street Date? The Street date is when every store that pre-orders a book can start to sell that book. Street dates ensure a level playing field for stores across the US, as well as help make sure that dedicated players and fans who take the time to pre-order with their local game store can know just when to expect the book. We don’t set the actual Street Date until the books are in the warehouse too, so when we say a street date, we mean a street date.

BayonetGames now offers its Warfighter Series of tactical wargames, as well as a new RPG line, and some quick-and-dirty games as well.

If you like wargames, check out what they have to offer. I own Maneuver Warrior and although I am ashamed to admit I’ve not yet had a chance to play it, it’s a very well-done game and I’m looking forward to a chance to play it.
