Special Price on Ministers Chess(TM) from Corinthian

The following article was imported from our old content management system on 08/10/2008. It may contain missing links and missing images which we do not plan to go back and correct. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Corinthian Games web site indicates that they are currently offering a special holiday price of $29.99 plus $7.00 shipping for their Ministers Chess (TM) game, invented by Professor Michael J. Corinthios.

The web site describes this game as “symmetric chess, employing a 19.5” x 19.5” folding board with MINISTERS™ 9 x 9 = 81 squares pattern on one side and Conventional chess pattern on the other; 36 tournament size (3 ¾” king, 2″ pawn) impact plastic chess pieces. This is the Third Edition. It contains two added GIFTS: a 19.5” x 19.5” vinyl roll-up board and a 12″x7″ cloth Chess bag. The king is flanked by two queens, each called “minister”, the historic name of the queen of chess, thus establishing the hitherto absent symmetry about the king; in a larger more powerful game. Whether against man or machine, no theory of openings is there to favor one player over the other. Of a highly educational value, MINISTERS™ teaches that it is never too late to change history.”

All of them are searching for an oversized crate containing the mythical “master” of a 25mm miniature which is the focus of combat. For more information and complete rules, click here.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BattleCorps.com Addresses Pre-order Concerns

Everett, WA, July 27, 2007—BattleCorps.com is well aware of the concerns of customers over pre-orders from the BattleCorps BattleShop, specifically over two products that have not shipped, despite their pre-order status for long months.

“The transition of the Classic BattleTech license to InMediaRes Productions LLC. (the parent company of BattleCorps.com) has not been without problems,” said David M. Stansel-Garner, Materials and Operations Manager for BattleCorps.com (and its sister company, Catalyst Game Labs). “One of the most problematic issues was the delay of printed product, some of which were already at the printers before the transition began, hence why they went on pre-order sale. While we are in the final stages of resolving such delays—with the release of almost half a dozen Classic BattleTech products in August—we still need to address the pre-orders that occurred during this time. We want to make sure that those who pre-ordered know that despite these extenuating circumstances, we appreciate their business and hope to continue to see such business in the future.”

Anyone that pre-ordered either the Classic BattleTech TechManual print book or the Warriors: BattleCorps Anthologies Vol. 1 print novel before July 1st, 2007 will be credited $5.00 on their BattleCorps BattleShop account, which can be used towards the purchase of any product available through the BattleCorps BattleShop.

For questions or comments or other ordering concerns, please contact quartermaster@battlecorps.com.
